A dynamic leader with over 16 years of experience in the consulting and technology sector. With a passion for innovation and people, Charl plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and ensuring client satisfaction across the board.

In his role, Charl oversees the Operations Department, ensuring that consultants are effectively utilized, clients receive top-quality service, and every JERA project delivers meaningful solutions that meet real business needs. His relentless focus on quality and collaboration ensures that JERA’s reputation for excellence continues to grow.

Charl’s journey into consulting was inspired by his inventive spirit. “I’ve always been an inventor at heart,” he shares. “In the consulting sector, we’re constantly creating new and innovative ideas that solve real-life problems.”

Armed with a B.Com Informatics degree from the University of Pretoria, Charl combines technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills.

“Being an extrovert means I get my energy from people,” he says. “My passion for people has been my most valuable asset in my day-to-day work.”

One of Charl’s proudest achievements at JERA is a project developed for Big Five Duty Free, where he helped implement scanners and a custom module that streamlines stock management between shops and warehouses. “It’s something unique that really made a difference,” he adds.

When asked what makes him successful at JERA, Charl’s response reflects his dedication and belief in the company’s mission:

“I think my belief in JERA and what it stands for drives me every day. I wear the JERA badge proudly wherever I go, and I’m always willing to share what I’ve learned in my 16 years working with Sage products.”

Outside of work, Charl enjoys golfing, playing chess, and spending time with his family-often filled with a good dose of “family silliness.”

His colleagues describe him as “Mister Smiley Face,” and it’s easy to see why.

A fun fact about Charl? He’s a Senior Brown Belt 3 in the Japanese Karate Association and has his sights set on earning a black belt one day.
